Some *big* game news for the Atari ST this weekend, as Miracle Boy in Dragon Land has finally dropped after four years of work.

(From the website) - "Miracle Boy in Dragon Land offers a magical adventure across 25 levels, combining exploration, puzzles, mini-games, and equipment upgrades. The player takes on the role of Paolo, tasked with freeing the kingdom from the clutches of the evil Count Drago in a universe inspired by the classic Wonder Boy in Monster World."

We have Samuel Blanchard and DMA-SC to thank for this marvel.

It is very ambitious in scope, stretching the ST’s boundaries hard. A 1MB ST is your ticket to ride!

You can find out more here - You can purchase a digital copy and there are a decreasing amount of physical copies available.

Congratulations, Samuel Blanchard and DMA-SC! This is exactly the kind of love the Atari ST scene deserves and needs hard!

It does run on Falcon, in CT60 clean boot mode. Sound is missing though.

To be fair the Falcon isn't supported, so lucky it runs at all. Or a tribute to Samuel's code.

While waiting for the boxed edition to arrive, I downloaded it and played for a while yesterday and today:it’s just great! Sound and graphics are really nice and the gameplay is wonderful. My 12 years old liked it also but didn’t play ass he can’t speak/read English properly, he would have loved a French version.
Congratulations to the team, really a great game.

Just to add to the above, it runs on normal flavours of Fslcon too.

1. Title music, no in-game sound.

2. Clean boot definitely recommended. (No Nvdi in other words. Good advice for ST users also.)

What seems to have started as a "monster world"-remake ended up being such a unique and well designed game with just enough "basis" from Wonder Boy and lots of identity by itself. Also love the visuals and the music. The gaming highlight of the decade on Atari ST for me for sure.
