We’re barely into the new year and we have some new gaming goodies from a Spanish enthusiast, Carles Orial.

This is an adventure game ‘Babaliba’, made for the ZX Spectrum by the Spanish software house, Dinamic and released in 1984. It has elements of Spectrum Classics, ‘Mazogs’ and ‘Sabre-Wulf’.

The author recalls that this was one of the first games he owned, first playing it on a black and white television and being astounded when he finally got to see it in colour.

He was so enamoured by this game, he set to work to convert it to his equally beloved Atari ST. First attempting this in Assembly language but switching to C coding.

The Author adds  “I hope you enjoy my conversion. It was made with lots of love, lots of flowers , and INCREDIBLY BIG NOSES."
